Obituary of Harry William Livingston Jr.

Please share a memory of Harry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Castleton- Harry W. Livingston, who was born on June 2, 1934, passed peacefully at home, on Sunday, 10/22/2023, having enjoyed visits from many family members and friends. Harry was born in Brownsville, Pa. to the late Harry Livingston, Sr. and Georgana Murphy.

Harry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Livingston. He was the father of 5 children: Spencer (Linda), Diana Starr, the late Harry the third, Tim (Kim), and Suzanne Sukup (Greg). He loved and was loved by his children, 9 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. They brought him much joy.

He is also survived by his brothers Gary (Terry), Mark, and was predeceased by his brother Frank (Loraine).

Harry worked for many years at the District 50 Mineworkers and the Textiles Workers Union. In later years, he had his favorite job at Victory Lane Speedway in Schodack. He volunteered for many years at the local Good Will shop.

He loved surfing the waves, having many pets from dogs, cats, ponies, goats, and others. He talked to his frogs in his little pond. He was a great storyteller and jokester who will be remembered by all who knew him. His family will see him on the "other side of the mountain."

A memorial celebration of his life will be held in the spring for friends and family. He wanted us to all share jokes and funny stories at his memorial.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to Community Hospice or Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
