East Nassau- Ramona (Abarca) Bashaw, 85, of East Nassau and formerly of Lakeland, FL, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Manhattan to the late Angela (Monge) and Frank Abarca. Ramona was a factory worker for Hulett Packard in Massachusetts, prior to her retirement. She raised her children in Clinton, MA and Gardner, MA and following her retirement she spent many years enjoying warmer weather, especially in Lakeland, FL for the last ten years. Ramona enjoyed spending her time crocheting, watching movies on the Hallmark channel, and especially sappy love stories on television.

In addition to her parents, Ramona was predeceased by her husbands; Joseph Flores and Richard Bashaw, her sons; James and Jerry Flores, her grandson; Michael Flores, as well as her siblings; Robert, Carlos, George, and Antonio Abarca, Rosa Cruz, and Carmen Lopez. She is survived by her children; Vincent, Christopher, Louis, and Antonio (Terry) Flores, her stepchildren; Robert (Belinda) and Richard (Leslie) Bashaw, her siblings; Enrique Abarca, John Torres, and Olga (Eli) Barrios. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, including her caregiver, Natasha Flores, as well as twenty-seven great grandchildren with two more on the way, and two great great grandchildren with two more on the way.
