East Greenbush- Raymond F. Rudat, 80, of East Greenbush and formerly of Nassau, passed away peacefully at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home, after an extended illness. Raymond was born in New Rochelle, NY to the late Sophie (Kotch) and Frederick Rudat. He was a home builder and built all the homes on Rudat Road, in Nassau. When he was not working, he was an avid sports fan and taught his kids how to play soccer and rugby. Ray enjoyed hunting in his younger years but devoted his life to work and his children’s activities.

            Raymond was predeceased by his first wife; Barbara Rudat. He is survived by his wife; Adrienne (Grant) Rudat, his children; Christopher (Amy) Rudat, Matthew (Courtney) Rudat, Brice (Cammi) Rudat, Ethan (Taylor) Rudat, Taylor (Fiancé Melissa) Rudat, Lisa (Tim) Hanks, and Lucy (Andru) Karouna. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Christina, Logan, Johnathon, Dylan, Hayden, Aspen, Gracie, Maiya, and Remi, as well as his brother Larry (Sandra) Rudat.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, NY 12123. Inurnment will immediately follow the funeral service, at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 1025 Kinderhook St. Valatie, NY 12184.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Raymond to DAV – Disabled American Veterans P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250.
