Obituary of Leon D. Lawton Jr.

East Nassau- Leon D. Lawton Jr., 53, of East Nassau passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 at Albany Medical Center, from injuries sustained from an ATV accident a month ago. Leon was born in New York City to the late Sherrie (Bergeron) Myers and Leon D. Lawton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved the outdoors. Leon also enjoyed time spent in the company of friends.

In addition to his parents, Leon was predeceased by his stepfather Donald Myers and his grandmother who raised him, Jane Bergeron. He is survived by his wife; Rhonda Lawton, his sister; Tara (Kenny) Cruz, his aunt; Debbie (Tom) Bingham, his uncle; John (Donna) Bergeron, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Leon's family from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2023, with a memorial service to commence at 3:00p.m. at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, NY 12123.
