Obituary of Jack Lee

Jack E. Lee North Chatham Lee, Jack E. passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Albany VA Hospital after a long illness. Born in Mohawk, NY, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Esther (Carty) Lee. After graduating Mohawk High School, he enlisted in the Army, served with "L" Co., 21st Infantry Regiment, and was a decorated veteran of the Korean War. Jack was a member of the Combat Inf. Assoc., Korean War Veterans Association, DAV, VFW, and American Legion. He attended Paul Smiths' College where he received a degree in Hotel Management, and was employed by The American Hotel Association for fifteen years. He then worked for Channel 10, and Channel 13 where, after 25 years, he retired as their Regional Sales Manager. Jack and his family moved to North Chatham where he was active in local politics. He was President of The North Chatham Historical Society and served on their Board of Directors for several years. He is survived by his wife, Rie; daughters Catherine Visscher (William), Sharon Colloton (Peter), Lori Giglia (Andrew), and Kristina Dalton (Rob), as well as nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Predeceased by son, David (Philicia) and two brothers and sisters. Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects on Friday, February 8, 10 am - 12 pm at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm Street, Nassau, NY. A brief service will be held at the funeral home at noon, followed by interment with full military honors at the Gerald B.H.
