Judy Ann Phelps, 58, of Nassau passed away on April 29, 2017 surrounded by her family. Born in Albany she was the daughter of Leonard T. Sr. and Barbara A. (Romer) Smith. Judy was a lifelong resident of Nassau who was devoted to her family. Judy was a secretary for Cooper and Cooper in Nassau for over 20 years. She loved to travel and she never missed a sporting event throughout her children's athletic careers. Judy was an animal lover and loved to spoil her "grand puppies" Toby and Carter. In addition to her parents she is survived by her son, Nicholas D. Phelps (Molly McDonough); daughter, Nicole L. (Bill) Robinson; brother, Leonard T. (Sherri) Smith Jr.; sister, Linda (Eddie) Shaw; niece, Ann Marie Shaw and nephews, Steven Shaw and Tyler Smith.; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins of the Romer family. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church in Nassau on Thursday at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush. Donations in Judy's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society at 1 Penny Lane Latham, NY 12110. Online Condolences may be offered at Mooneyfuneralhome.com
