Obituary of Edward L. Shuhart

Shuhart, Edward Lewis CASTLETON Edward Lewis Shuhart, born on April 2, 1959, passed away on October 23, 2017, with his loving family by his side. Ed was born the second son to Cyril and Annette Shuhart and lived most of his life in upstate New York. He enlisted into the Army as a young man, where he served and was honorably discharged, later returning to New York. Shortly after his return, he married the love of his life and long-time friend, Eva Jewett. Ed and Eva were married on April 24,1982, and spent the rest of his life together. The second love of Ed's life was Elvis Presley. Ed was an Elvis fan his entire life, and anything pertaining to Elvis was always of great excitement to him. Ed was also a Green Bay Packers fan, through and through, back to the ice bowl days and playing football in the snow with his brothers as Bart Starr did. Ed was a long-time employee of the Fort Orange Paper Company in Castleton. Ed has four children, Greg Mainville, Cyril R. Shuhart, Charity Shuhart, and Edward Shuhart II. (Donna). Ed also loved Richie Fuentes as a son. Ed has six beautiful grandchildren, Anthony, Devin, Austin, William, Emma, and Camden. Ed had a very big heart and he always showed love and support to all who knew him. Ed was preceded in death by three grandparents, a sister, and his mother. He is survived by his wife Eva, his children and grandchildren; grandmother, Vendora Shuhart; father, Cyril Shuhart (Rose); four natural siblings, William Shuhart (Kellie), Kyle Shuhart (Laurie), Ronald Shuhart and Heather Shuhart Durham (Kevin); two stepsiblings, Rick Folmsbee-Nash (Spencer), Rose Cimini (Chris); and many extended family members who all love and will miss him. The world is going to be a lonely place without him, but we know he is safely in the loving arms of his mother. Edward, Give it to them until we meet again. We all love you very much! There will be a viewing for friends and family on Friday, October 27, from 12 -2 p.m. in the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, followed by services at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Horizon View Cemetery in Castleton.
