Josephine Baker, 77, of Ravena, passed away at home on March 20, 2018.  Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth Freemantle.  Josie was an avid BINGO player and was a regular at the South Schodack Fire House for their game night.  She was also a member of the Rensselaer Elks Lodge #2073 and volunteered at the Helping Harvest food pantry in Ravena.  She is survived by her sons, William Balfoort, Robert (Marie) Balfoort, Leonard (Linda) Baker and Lance Zimmerman (Aimee Davis); daughters, Renee (Kurt) Fuhlbrigge and Rhonda Baker; brother, Jerry (Maureen) Freemantle; grandchildren, Josie, Eli, Joann, Lance, Kreig, Brandon, Cyndi, Mandy and Austin; great-grandchildren, Carlie, MaKenzie, Corbin, EJ, Maejoi and Nevaeh.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her siblings Thelma Hanson and Gene Freemantle.  Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Saturday at 1:00pm.  Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service from 10am to 1pm.  Interment will be in the Nassau-Schodack Cemetery.  Online condolences may be offered at Mooneyfuneralhome.com
