Austin H. Lansley,92, of Nassau passed away on Nov. 6, 2021. Born in Nassau he was the son of the late Harry and Julia (Conant) Lansley and was raised by his aunt and uncle, Burr and Emma Rowe. Upon Emma’s death he was raised by is stepparents, Burr and Pauline Rowe. Austin was a talented musician who played saxophone in the town band and was involved in an organ club. He was an incredible woodworker and enjoyed the game of golf. Mr. Lansley had worked for P. Ballantine and Sons Brewing Co. in the accounting department before his employment with GE Plastics where he was a technician and from where he would eventually retire. He is survived by his loving wife Jean Lansley; daughters, Christine (Jack) Kochem of Schenectady, Arlene (Kenneth) Kincaid of Pittsfield, MA, and Debra (Rick) Ramsay of Egremont, MA; brothers, Norman Rowe and Bill Lansley; sisters, Beverly Borovich, Emma Sluus, Audrey Burrell and Donna Isbester. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Bruce Rowe and grandson, Scott Kincaid. A funeral service will be held at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St., Nassau on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 1:00PM. Relatives and friends are invited to call prior to the service from 12-1PM. Interment will follow in the Garfield Cemetery. Donations in Austin’s memory may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society at 3 Oakland Ave. Menands NY, 12204.
