Ellen M. Ide (Latham), of Nassau, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Born in East Greenbush on September 12th to Winifred and Donald Latham, Ellen married her childhood best friend Orrin (Mickey) in August 1976. Ellen was a compassionate, caring, and well loved woman. She loved crafting and took great enjoyment in sharing those with her friends and family. More than her crafting, Ellen enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Ellen worked at Evergreen Commons Nursing home for 16 plus years and recently retired. She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Donna Latham; and her brother-in-law, Jim Connolly. Ellen is survived by her husband, Mickey; her three children, Christopher (Stephanie) Ide, Dawn (David) Houser, and Steven (Brittany) Ide; six grandchildren, Kyrstin, Tiffany, Daisy, and Allison Houser, Aiden and Nolin Ide; her sister, Brenda Connolly; her brother Roger (Pat) Latham; and her sister-in-law Pam (John) Zmieske. Along with numerous aunts, nieces, and nephews, who will always remember her with great affection and appreciation. Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 29th from 5-7 pm with a memorial service starting at 7pm at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, Nassau, NY.
