Obituary of Anthony Castiglia

Nassau- Anthony "Ace" Castiglia passed away at home, on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Anthony was born to the late Jack and Jean (Ancora) Castiglia, in Brooklyn, NY. Anthony was a Porter with Union 32 BJ of New York, NY. Anthony loved everything that involved music, especially playing the guitar. He was a member of the band Roxzura, where he was the lead guitar player and a backup vocalist. When listening to music, he was known to keep the volume very loud. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, whom he loved dearly. Anthony will be missed by many, but especially by the family dog, Orion, who will miss getting bones from him.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Michael Castiglia. He is survived by his son Anthony and his wife Alexis; his brother, Ted Castiglia; and nieces and nephews, Michael (Nicole) Castiglia, Alyssa Castiglia, Jennifer Mullen, and Nicole Castiglia.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Anthony’s family, on Thursday, June 15th, 2023, from 2:00-3:00 pm, at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, NY 12123. Anthony’s funeral service will take place following the calling hours at 3:00 pm, at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service, in the Nassau Schodack Cemetery, Route 203 Nassau, NY 12123.
