Steve Himmel, you will always be in my Top Ten of Favorite People! Great memories of being neighbors on Rossman Avenue. You and Joanie always treated us like Family. We loved coming over to your home. Always a Party! The sweetest memory that I will always have, is the night my Dad passed away. You were right there for me and my children. I will always remember your friendship and kindness. Love to Joanie and the Himmel Family.

Uncle Steve, you are nothing but the best! You will be so dearly missed. I’ll always remember running into you at Walmart when we’d come to town. Your amazing cheesy eggs! Always pushing more food on your guests and drinks ;) I’ll always remember how passionately you tried to sell me on watching American Pickers. I love you, but it didn’t work:) Please find Donna, Nini, Grandpa Joe and Uncle Bobby and have a great time up in heaven. Heaven certainly got a lot more fun with you there. We’re going to miss you.

Uncle Steve was so adored by David, Courtney, Caitlin, Graeme and me. Our lives were forever changed in a most wonderful way when you came into our lives and now that you are gone we are heartbroken. Thank you for the wisdom that you shared, for saving all the newspaper flyers for us when we visited and the delicious cheesy eggs.
Much loved and you will never be forgotten.
Love, "The Canadians"

Dear Himmel Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Himmel's passing (he'll always be "Mr. Himmel" to me!). He was such a kind, joyful man--and a patient one, too. I spent a lot of time at Tanya's house when I was younger and Mr. Himmel didn't just tolerate all of us 'kids' being around, he acted like we were part of the family. I got to reconnect with him recently as we watched his grandson, Scotty, and my son, Hunter, play football when they were in high school. Mr. and Mrs. Himmel were always there, greeting me as if I were a long lost friend and cheering on Scotty and the boys.
I hope your hearts find healing during this difficult time and find some comfort in knowing how much he adored his family. He will be missed!

Dear Himmel's. I am so sorry for your loss of the Poppa. Such a dear man. Such a hard worker. Such a good man. I never heard Steve say a mean word about anyone. He was such a good husband ( loved his Joanie) such a good father. Raised three beautiful respectful children. A good brother. Always loved and cherished his siblings. You always made me laugh Steve. And added in your little chuckle when you did. There goes a good man and a good pair of hands Bonnie Huber
