Q: What will you never forget about Lawrence?
A:
Your patience and enthusiasm training me as a new firefighter recruit. Especially breathing from my nose near the hose-nozzle spray if I found myself in trouble in the smoke and needed air. Brilliant!
I will miss you, and never forget how amazing you were.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Thank you for everything Larry :)

Patty, Matt and family,
I am saddened to learn of Larry's passing. I could sit here and type out so many happy memories of Coop, because that is the guy he is. Coop welcomed everyone with open arms, listened to your stories as well as telling his. Listening to stories of the old day were his best and he would remind me keep learning and training kid. I find myself as chief of my department saying the same thing to members. Love you Coop and thank you for the years of knowledge you shared with myself and other youngsters over the years.

When you walked into the firehouse, you could always find Larry sharing stories/history of the past, going through photos/news articles or mentoring new/old members, including myself. I had the pleasure of working side by side with Larry in different roles and learned a lot from him over the years. He will be greatly missed. May you find peace and comfort with family and friends during this difficult time.

Larry (Coop) was a welcoming face in the Collections room of National Grid for many years. He was always first to arrive and would look up from his morning paper to say “good morning” every day, and chat about the previous days Yankee game. He was a wonderful man and his presence and passion for life will be greatly missed by his National Grid team. May you find peace and comfort in family and friends during this difficult time.
